I Study Smart is a completely different idea
when it comes to test prep. This is what you might call a
class-in-a-box. You buy their workbooks which are available in
print online and CD and a text book. The workbook contains
reading assignments, exercises and practice test questions. To be
honest I haven't used this product myself. I simply don't want to
pay the $109 for the workbook (and that's the cheapest course) and then
buy an expensive text book on top of that. Since my goal is to
get my degree on the cheap this product just doesn't fit in for
me. For other people it might be just the thing. I can see
two or three groups of people this would be great for. First if
you are concerned with the quality of your education, this is the best
product on the market period. They force you through a real text
book and make you do real assignments. So the educational value
is very high. Secondly some people might like the extra help that
this type of course offers. Finally home schoolers that want AP
like courses that should be acceptable to most state over site
agencies. Everything is laid out for you so you know what to do
next. At the end of the road you are prepared to take the
test. They have a 94% pass rate. The people who don't pass
simply just didn't do the work.
Because they offer multiple types of formats for
their material, you can study when and where you want. This is a
big advantage if you travel a lot or are away from a computer during
your "spare moment" study time.
